Welcome to my personal page...

I created this site in 2011 to show highlights of the local food work I had the chance to do with many great people in and around my hometown, Cleveland. Here's me introducing economist Michael Shuman's late-2010 talk about how Northeast Ohio could impressively ramp up its local food system, at the conclusion of his group's six-month study of the area:

Now I'm in San Diego, where I design database software for a living. To quote to my LinkedIn profile, "I take an analytical and highly collaborative approach to designing technical processes and web-based interfaces." I also have various side projects in the mix, and I may expand the site as some of those projects advance...

If you're intrigued by the name of the site, epicipher is my main approach: to balance my attention relatively equally between a) trying to optimize the process, b) aiming to get the desired results, and c) looking to have a good experience.
